South Korean company M/s. Kido Dhaka Co. Limited is going to establish a high end garments & sportswear manufacturing industry in Adamjee EPZ with an investment of US$ 31.17 million. Kido is a renowned sportswear manufacturing industry of South Korea. They have also 5 plants in Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia. The company has future investment plan in Bangladesh. The company also expressed their hope to invest more through leasing the closed industrial plants of EPZs due to land scarcity in suitable EPZs.
Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Kido Dhaka Co. Limited signed an agreement today (08-11-2021) at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka. Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Ali Reza Mazid and Acting Director of Kido Dhaka Co. Ltd. Mr. Ahn, Young Dae (Joseph) signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Newly joined Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, ndc, psc and just departed Executive Chairman Major General Md Nazrul Islam, SPP, ndu, afwc, psc, G, witnessed the agreement signing ceremony.
This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 2 million pieces of cloths jacket, motorcycle safety jacket, leather & fiber jacket, work jacket, sports jacket, fleece jacket, baby warmer (jacket), soft shell (jacket), sweatshirt (jacket),vest, work-wear, coverall, hospital gown, protective cloths and PPE etc. The company will create job opportunity for 6040 Bangladeshi workers. Kido Dhaka Co. Ltd. will generate more employment opportunity for the Bangladeshi nationals gradually.
