BEPZA gives scholarship to 135 poor and meritorious students

BEPZA Public School & College of Dhaka EPZ has given financial assistance scholarship worth Taka 6 lac 35 thousand to 135 poor and meritorious students. The Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, BSP, ndc, psc distributed the cheque of the scholarship at the Inter-House Annual Sports and Cultural Competition and Prize Distribution Ceremony-2019 of BEPZA Public School and College, Dhaka EPZ on 5 February. Most of the scholarship-receiving students are the children of workers of Dhaka EPZ.

At the end of the prize distribution ceremony about 250 students of the school portrayed a display titled "the Bengal, Bengalis, today’s Bangladesh,'' based on the history and heritage. From 1757 to the General Election of 30 December 2018, every aspects of the life of Bengali is illustrated in a very artistic way through the display. Earlier, the Executive Chairman of BEPZA inaugurated the newly constructed academic complex of the school. He visited computer labs, libraries, classrooms shifted to the newly constructed building.

Mentionable that, apart from investment promotion, export enhancement, employment generation through the eight EPZs of the country BEPZA has been conducting different activities as a part of its social responsibilities. BEPZA Public School and College is established in five EPZs where the children of the workers of EPZs are getting better education at almost 50 percent less tuition fee.
