BEPZA and All EPZs Observe 15 August National Mourning Day

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) has observed the national mourning day with due respect and solemnity. Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, BSP, ndc, psc along with the employees placed wreath at the mural of great architecture of independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the BEPZA Complex premises, Dhaka on15 August 2018 morning. Commemorating the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu and his family members who embraced martyrdom, BEPZA kept national flag half-mast. Later on discussion meeting, documentary film show and Doa Mahfil was held at the BEPZA Executive Office, Dhaka marking the day.

In the discussion meeting, life and political activities of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu was discussed in details and screening a documentary film ‘Chironjib Bangabandhu’ that created on his life and works. BEPZA Executive Chairman, Member (Investment Promotion), Mr. Zillur Rahman ndc, Member (Finance) Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, General Managers of each department including all levels of officers and employees of BEPZA attended the discussion meeting. BEPZA Executive Chairman inaugurated a photo gallery at BEPZA Complex consisting historical photographs of Banagabandhu. Later on, all employees attended a Doa Mahfil after Zohr prayer.

Simultaneously, eight EPZs under BEPZA located at different areas of the country i.e. Chittagong, Dhaka, Comilla, Ishwardi, Mongla, Uttara, Adamjee, & Karnaphuli EPZs also kept the national flag half-mast. They also arranged discussion meeting, screened documentary film and offered doa at the EPZs’ mosques marking the day. BEPZA Public School & Colleges operated by EPZs also observed the day in a befitting manner including essay & painting competition on Bangabandhu.
