Inauguration of Fire Station at Adamjee EPZ

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones authority (BEPZA) has started a new Fire Service & Civil Defence Station in Adamjee EPZ to strengthen the fire prevention and workplace safety as well as the operations of rescue and assistance in fire disaster. Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman of BEPZA has inaugurated the newly built Fire Station in Adamjee EPZ premises yesterday (10-08-2016) at Shiddirgonj, Narayanganj.

This initiative has taken by BEPZA Chief to assure the safety of lives and properties of workers & entrepreneurs both and also ensure the zone safety.  This fire station has 04 emergency tenders vehicles which equipped by modern facilities along with fire fighting appliances.

It may be mentioned that, since there is scarcity of plots in the EPZs, BEPZA has constructed standard factory buildings in Adamjee EPZ. BEPZA Chief physically observed under construction standard factory building of AEPZ and also inspected the fire security and preventing measures as per building code. He examine the factory building’s fire doors, fire exits, emergency stairs, wide stairs for evacuation during earthquake & fire accidents, in-built sufficient water line for fire protection and check fire hose pipe  drill etc.
